Action: Create, implement, monitor and evaluate an elementary-level Gifted and Talented Program.

The Avondale Gifted and Talented program opened as a 3rd/4th grade classroom for the 2017-2018 school year. The program will expand to serve 2nd through 5th grade for the 2018 - 2019 school year.

Action: Create Project Based Learning Teacher Teams 
Pre-K through 12th Grade.

Mrs. Sakalian (Auburn Elementary) and Ms. Scholz (Deerfield Elementary) teamed up to create a cross-district Project Based Learning experience for their students. The students, working in teams, followed PBL processes and created American Indian Museums.

Action: Create and foster collaborative learning opportunities for students.

Deerfield Elementary teachers, Ms. Kim Nash and Ms. Heidi Norton created an experience for their students requiring them to collaborate as a team to create a new species of animal.

Action: Develop a web-based staff-populated database of achievement.

Avondale High School established "Celebrate Avondale" - an opportunity for students and staff to provide tribute via web-based reporting. Students and staff celebrations are posted on Facebook, at the high school, and shared in parent newsletters.
