Welcome to the Avondale School District Facilities Management web site.  Our department oversees custodial, maintenance, grounds, energy conservation, enviromental compliance and security operations.  The department also manages the bond construction programs and all other internal capital projects.  The facilities department and its staff are committed to providing functional, safe and healthy learning environment in an efficient and effective manner for all users.

The Avondale School District consists of four elementary schools, one middle school, one high school and one alternative high school.  Our Administraitve Offices are housed in the north wing of Auburn Elemenatry. We have a Montessori building and Transportation building.
 
Asbestos Notification
The Avondale School District has developed a comprehensive Asbestos Management plans as required by the Environmental Protection Agency.  It is available for review through the Avondale Facilities Management Office located at 2940 Waukegan St., Auburn Hills, MI  48326

Pesticide Notification
Avondale School District has implemented an Integrated Pesticide Management Program for the purpose of reducing or eliminating the use of herbicides or pesticides in District buildings and sites.  There are times; however, that a pesticide or herbicide application is necessary.  Prior to these times, unless an emergency occurs, you have the right to be notified of these applications.  This notification is in compliance with State regulations.

If you desire to be notified of scheduled applications during the school year, please contact the Facilities Office at (248) 537-6033, to obtain a Prior Notification Request.  A list will be retained to contact you regarding dates of any application that may occur while school is in session.

During summers and school break periods, weed-controlling herbicides may be applied to all sites.  This is your notification of those applications.  Notification will also be posted at the main entrances of all buildings where applications occur.
